The following are Possible Temporary Support Services (for those that qualify):

211 … housing/shelter, utility help, child care, food, healthcare, legal, transporatation, and more

Affordable Connectivity Program: Created by the FCC to help households struggling to pay for internet service.

Access … provides food, warmth, shelter, and other essential services to Jackson County’s low-income children, families, seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities.

Family Self Sufficiency Program (FSS) – Jackson County  … program that provides Housing Choice Vouchers so participants can set and reach the goals of becoming self-sufficient through personalized dynamic supportive services

Housing (Federal) Programs … this article by Benefits.gov provides a quick overview of the Federal Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8) and loans/grants to repair a family house.

Josephine Housing and Community Development Council is the local housing authority in Josephine County Oregon. Our agency provides rental assistance to low income families in the county through HUD’s Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program

Maslow Project … support for youth (21 or under) or parent of school age children or younger and needing a safe place to stay. Additional ongoing support services are also available.

Oregon Health Plan (OHP) … find an assister to help you make sense of healthcare insurance needs.  You can also email community.outreach@dhsoha.state.or.us 

Recovery Café … provides hope and stability for those struggling with addiction through recovery planning and long-term support

Salvation Army Jackson or Josephine County … for id assistance/discretionary funds (personal expenses and gas cards)

Set Free Mission … for laundry services

St Vincent … housing assistance, food, “urban rest stop” for homeless (shower and laundry facilities), dental/medical screenings, and advocay/social services

Teresa McCormick Center … help connect you with resources including: rental assistance, food pantries/free meals, energy assistance, shower locations and more

UCAN … child & family support, food assistance, healthcare, utilities, housing and possible financial support

United Way of Jackson or Josephine County … can assist with education completion, possible financial and transportation assistance
